Stop The Violence!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life."
John 3:16

Services We provide.

When the day-to-day stress of parenting meets head-on with life crises like drug abuse, poverty, homelessness and domestic violence, even loving parents can lose control and hurt their children physically and emotionally. The Childrens Outreach Ministry offers a safe haven for children of families in crisis, and provides support programs to help their parents. As well as advocacy, intervention, information and referral.

All services are confidential and free of charge.

Respite Care for Children: The Ministry provides emergency respite care for children from age 6 through age 12 when there is a possibility they may be abused or neglected due to family crisis situations. Children can stay for up to three days at a time or longer if necessary. At the Ministry children receive spiritual guidance, clothing, nutritious meals, and unconditional love and attention from our houseparents and volunteers. We are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Education and Support for Parents: Research shows that one of the most common causes of child abuse is a lack of education and support for parents. To help parents get the skills they need to take better care of their children and their lives, the Childrens Outreach Ministry provides referrals to parenting classes and a parent support group for parents. We also offer referrals to help parents access a variety of community support services, and crisis phone counseling for parents who just need someone to talk to.

If you are looking for a parent education program, you will find a schedule of local parenting classes at http://forparents.wsu.edu.
